Some call it the ultimate scavenger hunt.. Others say it’s like a day-long version of the "Amazing Race." And there are even some who describe it as an interactive mystery novel. What is it? It’s the Los Angeles Race Fantastique, otherwise known as LARF; and we call it a mind-bending, full-throttle adventure game.
Essentially, all teams meet at a predetermined location. There they receive the first of a series of mind-bending, devious clues leading them to a second location. Then to a third. The goal is to be the first team to solve all of the clues, uncover the big secret, and reach the finish line.
But these ain’t your momma’s clues. LARF clues can take you anywhere: you may find yourself navigating a lattice of laser beams, battling wits in a life size game of chess, or constructing a musical clue with a transparency and overhead electric wires. Not only that, but LARF clues can come from anywhere: a banner-pulling airplane, a messenger out of the blue, the guy behind the counter of the video arcade. You never know. What you do know is LARF promises a day of brain busting puzzles, physical challenges, and constant surprises.
