The Mexican Riviera is a 900 mile stretch of coastline on the Pacific side of Mexico. We start our travel log on the south western tip of Huatulco. Huatulco is a centrally planned city like Cabo San Lucas and Cancun. This means everything has been thought of to help give the travelor the best experience possible.
Next, we visit Aculpulco which is one of the oldest resort towns on the Mexican Riviera. Aculpulco is home to the Las Brisas Hotel also known as the pink and white paradise aptly named for the color of the secluded casitas. Popular with honeymooners, this hotel offers everything you can think of in a resort destination.
You may know one of the best-kept vacation secrets situated along the Pacific Coast of Mexico, but those who visit will find out that it's actually two of the best-kept secrets. It's the magic of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, two vacations in one tropical location. If you're tastes run toward the plush and contemporary, Ixtapa is your personal paradise and any one of Ixtapa's luxurious hotels is the perfect place to unpack your bags. A few minutes from Ixtapa over a road that takes you through the tip of the southern Sierra Madre, you'll find the other side of paradise awaiting in Zihuatanejo. The best way to get a unique view of Zihuatanejo is to get an offshore day cruise out to one of the many islands. The clear waters of Zihuatanejo are not only perfect for on the water activities, it's also home to picturesque scuba diving adventures.
Manzanillo is home to Las Hadas Hotel... made famous my the movie "10." With it's white walls, luxurious rooms, golf course and famous iguanas, it gives you the ultimate Mexican experience.
We end our travels in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico's second largest beach resort on the Pacific. This is where Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton built a summer home. Puerto Vallarta has kept it's quaint feel with open air restaurants and markets and cobble stone streets. It also boasts some of the nicest beaches along the Mexican Riviera. If you need a place to stay, we suggest Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta. Every room's a suite a Paradise Village, and with a spa, full service marina and spectacular pools, you'll never want to leave.
